Protect Yourself Online with This Simple Rule

TIP OF THE MONTH

“Think Before You Click”

Scam emails are getting sneakier—but you can outsmart them with one simple habit: pause and inspect before clicking.

✅ Here’s what to look for:

  • Strange sender address? If it’s full of random letters or doesn’t match the company name, it’s likely fake.

  • Urgent language? Phrases like “Act now!” or “Your account will be closed!” are red flags.

  • Unusual links? Hover your mouse over any link (don’t click!) to see where it really goes.

Jim’s Rule of Thumb:

“If it feels off, it probably is. When in doubt—don’t click. Call the company or ask me first!”
